 | | | BC-1022 Battery Backplane Controller
The BC-1022 battery controller is a tiny backplane design for adding safe and reliable Lithium Ion battery power to a new or existing platform. The controller's small footprint and extensive battery monitoring capability gives system designers the perfect solution for adding 1 or 2 smart battery packs. OceanServer recommends the BA89HC battery pack which offers 89 Watt Hours per pack. The high efficiency system manages all aspects of the battery charging and discharging along with critical battery monitoring support via direct RS232 communications or external LCD or LED options. When it comes to charging, the BC-1022 takes a wide range of inputs from standard AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC vehicle power or solar panels.

| | | | | BBDC-02R Dual Battery Controller w/ ATX Power Supply
Battery Management Module with integrated smart battery chargers and ATX power supply function. Supports two BA95 smart battery packs for up to 190 Watt-hours of battery power. The ATX power supply electronics are ultra efficient and supply 12V @ 7Amps; 5V & 3.3V @ 10 Amps; -12V @ 0.3A with efficiencies up to 98%.
The Output power is supplied via an ATX power supply connector.
The module can be passively cooled in most cases due to the low losses.
Battery charging is automatic when an 18V power source is supplied. The battery charge time is about 2 hours if a single battery is attached and 3.5 hours if two BA95 battery packs are attached.
The module provides an RS-232 host connection for monitoring the fuel gauge and battery status. "Minibats" Windows(TM) software is provided with the module. This software will let users monitor the power and battery status, perform warnings and orderly system shutdowns when the batteries reach the end of their discharge cycle.
This module is ideal for powering embedded computers, robotics, electronics, instruments. The "R" at the end of the part number indicates it is RoHS compliant.

| | | | | BB-04S MINI BATTERY MANAGEMENT MODULE
The Small Outline Base Battery Management Module is microprocessor controlled and will manage between 1 to 4 Smart Battery Packs. It incorporates an integrated "smart" level 3 charger and all required multiplexing to allow all four packs to be charged and discharged simultaneously.
The module provides unregulated DC power (RAW battery voltage) output @ 11-18VDC to the DC-DC Converter or to the system.
The base module supports charging the batteries at a maximum rate of eight Amps of charge current.
When a charge voltage is supplied using the 18V (AC Adapter or other DC power source) the module will source the load using the charge voltage and start charging the battery packs if required. The power switchover happens in 10us and won't effect the operation of the electronics, (ie. hot plug of charge voltage).
Module size is 2.917" x 3.583"
The Battery Monitoring Windows (TM) Utility and soft copy of the documentation is included on a CD.
OceanServer offers the Small Outline Base Battery Management Module and a variety of batteries, cable assemblies and accessories to complete an OEM implementation of the IBPS.

| | | | | MP-04S MINI BATTERY MANAGEMENT MODULE
Manages up to four smart Li-ion battery packs for up to 380 Whrs of battery power. Total automatic operation with system level status data such as Time-to-empty, Time-to-full, current, voltage, etc.
Integrated Smart chargers charge all battery packs simultaneously when a charge voltage is supplied. Supports charging from weak sources like solar panels and fuel cells with outstanding efficiency and energy capture. Charging of any sized array is fast, under 2 or 3.5 hours depending on configuration. The system operates using a model similar to a notebook computer, when DCIN voltage (18V typically) is supplied the system gets its power from the DCIN source and the batteries are offline and charging, when the DCIN (wall power) goes away the system switches over to battery power without interruption.
The MP-04S supports battery clustering of up to 64 smart battery packs for gerater than 6,000 watt-hours of power. The cluster acts like a single large battery but maintains the outstanding safety of the individual notebook style smart Li-ion battery packs.
The device is supported by the Fullbats software for monitoring the system operation or can be interfaced by your software in ASCII using the RS232 port.
There are a complete family of DC-DC convertors that optionally turn the RAW battery voltage (syspower) into regulated DC levels. These include, 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 19V, 24V, 28V, 48V, -12V and others in design. All devices are modular and plug and play so you can create a large power system off the shelf.
Module size is 2.917" x 3.583"

| | | | | MP-08S MINI BATTERY MANAGEMENT MODULE
Manages up to eight smart Li-ion battery packs for up to 760 Whrs or battery power. Total automatic operation with system level status data such as Time-to-empty, Time-to-full, current, voltage, etc.
