The regulated version provides 12V, 5V and 3.3V DC and system signals. The unregulated kit provides battery voltage 12-16.6 (when on battery) 18V when charge voltage present.
Order between 1 to 4 Li-ion smart packs (95 Watt-hours each) with the base module, expandable now or later by adding the expansion battery controller.
The EK-05 kit with a single battery pack will power a system with a maximum DC power consumption of 60 Watts, two battery packs 96 Watts.
Note: Order Batteries separately per your requirements for current and capacity.

 |  |  | EK-03 SINGLE MODULE REGULATED EVALUATION KIT
 The EK-03 is based on the BBDC-02R, Dual Battery Controller with ATX Power Supply. The BBDC-02R supports two BA95 Smart battery packs (sold separately) for up to 190 Watt-hours of battery power. The ATX power supply electronics are ultra efficient and supply 12V @7Amps; 5V & 3.3V @10Amps; -12V @ 0.3A with efficiencies up to 98%.
The kit also contains a Power Supply, DC In Jumper Cable, Serial Port Conversion and Extension Cables, Regulated Power Cable (ATX & Disk), Momentary On/Off Switch Cable and User CD.
Note: The EK-03 Evaluation Kit does not include battery packs. Please order 1 to 2 packs to complete the kit.

|  |  |  |  | EK-04 UNREGULATED IBPS POWER KIT
 Unregulated Power Kit. This battery system does not have a DC-DC converter and provides the user with the RAW battery voltage which moves between 11 to 16.8 Volts as the packs discharge and 18V when the AC adapter is plugged in and charging. In most cases the EK-05 kit is used to power electronics that require regulated outputs.
Kit includes one Base Battery Management Module, Power Supply, DC IN Jumper Cable, System Power Output Cable, Serial Port Conversion Cable, and User CD.
BB-04FR Battery Management Module size is PC104, 3.6" x 3.8" (or BB-04SR 2.91" x 3.58" by request)
The unregulated IBPS module provides a voltage that varies as the battery is discharged. The range when the battery is sourcing the load is 11-16.8V and 18V+ when the system is provided with a charge voltage.
Note: The evaluation kit EK-04, will support 1 to 4 battery packs, sold separately. Please order the Smart Battery packs to complete the kit.

 Regulated Power Kit includes a base Controller Module that manages the charging/discharging of the attached smart battery packs and an ATX DC DC Converter which outputs regulated 3.3V@10A, 5V@10A, 12V@12A and -12V.
BB-04FR Battery Management Module size is PC104, 3.6" x 3.8" (or BB-04SR 2.91" x 3.58" by request)
DC123SR ATX Converter Module size is 2.91" x 3.58" (will stack directly on either the BB-04FR or BB-04SR)
Kit allows user to power an Embedded Computer and related electronics such as the VIA EPIA MINI-ITX MODULES from battery power. This configuration supports up to four (4) battery packs for a total of about 400 watt-hours of power. This is six (6) times the power capacity of an average laptop.
The EK-05 is based on the BB-04FR module and is limited to four batteries maximum. If you need higher current or need eight battery support you need to order the MP-xx or XP-xx Series controllers. Contact sales@ocean-server.com for a different kit.
Kit also contains, AC/DC Power Supply PS100, DC IN Jumper Cable, Serial Port Conversion Cable (DB9 M), Regulated Power Cable (ATX Cable), and User CD.

Please note: "R" indicates the parts are RoHS compliant. The DC123SR only comes in one size but will work with either size of the BB-04xx board.
